Kylie Minogue began her career at the age of eleven when she was given a part in the Australian television series Skyways in 1980. This was followed by further television roles in The Sullivans (1981) and later The Henderson Kids (1984-85). It was, however, her role as Charlene in Neighbours between 1986 and 1988 that brought her fame and the attention of thousands of fans both here and in Britain.
In 1987 Kylie won a Silver Logie for Most Popular Actress and in 1988 she became the first person to win four Logies in a year including a Gold Logie for the Most Popular Personality on Television. The Delinquents, Kylie's first feature film, was released in 1989.
Kylie's first single, Locomotion (1987), launched her recording career and brought her to the attention of British song writing and production team Stock, Aitken and Waterman with whom she worked for a number of years. Her albums have included Kylie (1988), Enjoy Yourself (1989), Rhythm of Love (1990), Let's Get To It (1991), Kylie Minogue (1994), Impossible Princess (1997), Light Years (2000), Fever (2001), Body Language (2003) and more recently Ultimate Kylie (2004).
Kylie has had more than 40 hit singles and has won countless awards. She has also toured extensively throughout the world. The development of her singing career has been reflected in her numerous image changes which have gained her much publicity.
